About this living space

Haven is more than a home: it is a community that is your safe haven, that supports you in your student life and offers you space to develop yourself.

Haven is located on the TU/e campus and consists of 735 student houses within the buildings Castor, Pollux and Terra. In these buildings you will find group houses, studios and apartments.

ABOUT THE RESIDENCES

In the Castor tower on the west side you will find:
• 28 group homes for 4 people, with a common living room (about 25 m2), kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are 14 to 15 m2.
• 112 studios for 1 person, with their own kitchen and bathroom. The studios are about 24 m2.
• 54 apartments for 2 people, with their own kitchen and bathroom. These are approximately 37m2

In the Pollux tower on the east side will be:
• 28 group homes for 6 people, with a common living room (about 29 m2), kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are between 15 to 17m2.
• 173 studios for 1 person, with their own kitchen and bathroom. These are about 24 m2.
• 30 apartments for 2 people, with their own kitchen and bathroom. The apartments are around 37 m2.

In the low-rise Terra building will be:
• 5 group homes for 6 people, with a common living room (28m2), kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are 15-18 m2.
• 7 group homes for 8 people, with a common living room (41m2), kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are 15-18 m2.

COMMUNITY SPACES IN PORT
As an extension of your accommodation, you will find community spaces in the buildings where you can come together. To eat, relax or do activities.
There is also 'The Hangout' for Haven residents. This home of the Haven community is located in the low-rise buildings. Here, too, you can get together: during the day in café-setting, in the evening in bar-setting. Haven residents are responsible for the management, organization and organization of activities. This leaves room for own initiatives and exchanges between residents.

WHEN DO YOU QUALIFY?

Steps towards your residence in Haven

1. You are registered as a house seeker with Vestide;
2. You are studying full-time at an educational institution housed on the TU/e campus;
Or: You start a full-time study in September 2024 at an educational institute located on the TU/e campus;
Or: You are a PhD student at the TU/e campus;
Or: You are a PDEng student at the TU/e campus.

REGULAR OR INTERNATIONAL?
• Housing is rented 50% to students from the Netherlands (regular) and 50% to international students.
• A regular student:
o Is a student who has completed preliminary education in the Netherlands;
o Rents an unfurnished accommodation;
• An international student:
o Has completed preliminary education entirely abroad;
o Rents an unfurnished and furnished house (we charge extra service costs for this). The deposit is €250 for all housing types.

To rent this accommodation, we ask you for the following:

• Proof of enrolment at an Eindhoven educational institution for this academic year (Note: A print screen of your Studielink page is only valid if you are going to do a new degree program that starts the next academic year and for which there has not been issued an official registration certificate yet);
• The study you follow or will follow must be registered with the CROHO, CREBO or NVAO, designated as "funded education". If you are only taking a course, your employer is paying for the education or if you follow a private education you cannot rent from us;
• When you apply to an accommodation, the address on your Vestide registration must be equal to the registration with the municipality. If this does not match, you cannot rent the accommodation.
